Why a Toddler Bed?
My children are now 14, 12, and 10. However, when they were little, I worried about them climbing out of the crib, and when we moved them into real beds, I worried about them falling out of bed, or trying to climb out in the middle of the night and getting hurt. I used bed rails on both sides of the kids’ beds, just to prevent that from happening and to ease my mind. Looking back – all three children made the transition just fine – but it didn’t stop me from worrying!
I had never heard of a toddler bed. But if I had, I certainly would have used them for my kids when they outgrew their cribs. Toddler beds are low to the ground and the design has built-in bed rails. They can’t fall out of bed! And if they climb out, they won’t fall to the ground because they are so low. What a great concept in very cute designs!
